It’s not the only new thing we are up to: recent frenetic activity has seen us open for business in Bradford providing coaching, information and support for Bradford people wanting to set up a community business. Our team is growing and we are keen to meet as many as possible to launch the Enterprising Communities programme with the energy and enthusiasm that clients recognise at SESC – especially in Rachel who will be blogging here over the coming months.

I’m a Bradford resident and feel I know the place really well so it’s brilliant to be back reconnecting with my past and creating a new future. Some things haven’t changed: the traffic for one. If you are trying to get a struggling community business on its feet you might not want to come into town to see what we’re doing – it’s okay we will come to see you. Just ring for more info.

The opportunities for social enterprise are broad based - health is a big area for the sector. Although it can take time to get in and find your feet. The social enterprise investment fund is open for applications you just need the right ideas. Practical services too such as cleaning or ground maintenance are in demand.

And there the generalisation stops; the thing about social enterprise is that the services offered are often born from necessity – a yawning gap visible only at community level.

Whatever your ideas if we can help we will – you must be in Bradford – it’s where we are for the next two years - looking for you – 01274 739994
