The Social Enterprise Support Centre is pleased to announce the winners of their Innovative Idea in Business competition. The competitors were asked to present their ideas to a panel of judges for ten minutes to stand the chance of winning a prize of package of £1,000 worth of business support including accounts software.

The panel was very impressed by all those that took part, but decided that the clear winner was Lynne Walker, Lynne works with vulnerable children and had come up with a innovative and viable product to assist in reaching children and helping them to express their feelings. SESC are now working closely with her to develop her idea further.

Gerry Streloff of Evergreen Recycling was runner up in the completion with his ideas on the development of can crushers. Gerry would like to see children, schools, universities and large hotels recycling more and wishes to develop a unique system of can crushers.

SESC launched the competition in October to find the most Innovative Idea in Business, as part of its Enterprising Communities programme supported by Bradford Council and ERDF to develop enterprise in Bradford’s most deprived areas.
