Advice Services Fund (ASF) now open - The Government has made up to £16.8 million for a programme called the Advice Services Fund to support organisations in the free advice sector that have been affected by reductions in public spending. The programme aims to enable not-for-profit advice organisations to continue providing free services to people in their communities in England. The ASF is being delivered on behalf of the Government by the Big Fund.

Kidz Aware Training Courses

Futures North 2012

The next Futures North event is going to take place on Wednesday 2nd November at Sheffield Hallam Student Union.The theme of this years Futures North is ‘Communites, Trading, Capital, Investment’.Keynote Speakers Rob Hopkins from the Transition Network and Dr Rory Ridley-Duff of Sheffield Business School have been confirmed. Vote for The Deaf Visitor Centre

SESC have been working with the Deaf Association in Bradford. They have put forward their project for a Deaf Visitor Centre to the Barclays take on ‘Small Step Competition’. This idea has a mixture of income generating and employment ideas targeted at the local deaf community.

British Science Festival- Bradford 10-15 September 2011

It is British Science Week from September 10th to the 15th in and around the Bradford district. Just to give you a taster of what is to come we raided the events programme on the website (http://www.britishsciencefestival.org) to find a flavour what is in store. Sport England Protecting Playing Fields

This programme will fund capital projects that create, develop and improve playing fields for sporting and community use and offer long-term protection of the site for sport.
Projects are likely to involve the construction of new pitches or improvement of existing ones that need levelling or drainage works.
