MBA Social Enterprise Project-  Leeds University Business School

Monday, January 04th, 2010 | Posted in : |

Leeds University Business School is one of the most influential business schools in the UK. Their MBA students come from 21 countries and have an average age of 30 years. They are all highly qualified and experienced managers, and the average work experience is seven years. During semester two (February to April) our MBA students work on a group consultancy project based in a range of Social Enterprises in Leeds and the surrounding area. This provides an opportunity for the students to apply their knowledge and expertise to analyse strategic business issues in a wide variety of disciplines and recommend solutions. Working in groups of six or seven, the students are selected for each project based on their background and suitability.

YOUR OPPORTUNITY
Would you like to address a problem or investigate an issue for your organisation but do not have the time, money or right expertise to do so?
Are you looking for fresh thinking, new ideas, impartial analysis?
Could you would benefit from access to functional or industry experience from enthusiastic and highly motivated MBA students?

WHAT IS INVOLVED?
Organisations are expected to provide access to a suitable and safe work environment if students are expected to work on the organisation’s premises. Also, as with any consultancy project, it is helpful to have a nominated contact person within the organisation who would act as the principal point of contact for the students, providing them with access to relevant information or staff. There is no fee for this process, however you might consider covering the students’ direct travel expenses by public transport if travel is involved.
