Meet the Buyer Wakefield

Wakefield Council is holding its sixth annual Meet the Buyer event at Pontefract Racecourse in Pontefract, half a mile from junction 32 of the M62.
Meet the Buyer 2009 will focus on the current economic climate, providing advice and support for businesses and promoting a ‘buy local’ campaign. The event will also provide information regarding sustainability and why this is important to businesses wishing to engage with the public sector.
This is your opportunity to come and meet buyers from across Wakefield Council and other local public sector organisations, obtain business advice, network with other organisations and find out how you could be winning business.

What to expect at Meet the Buyer 2009
Developing further on the success of Meet the Buyer 2008, this year’s event will offer the following opportunities:
• A range of Wakefield Council stands and buyers
• A variety of other public sector buyers
• Networking area with free wireless internet connectivity
• Networking information interchange to help facilitate networking
• Refreshments area with drinks and snacks for sale
• Interactive presentations
• Supplier & Contract Management System (SCMS) information and support
• A wide range of business support for all sectors
