The 2010 Health and Social Care Awards Officially Open

Thursday, April 22nd, 2010 | Posted in : |

Throughout the NHS, social services, the voluntary, charity and independent sectors, there are people who are passionate about finding new ways of doing things to provide the best possible care to their local population…. and then continue to improve it.
Does this describe your team or someone you know?

The regional Health and Social Care Awards provide a superb opportunity to highlight and celebrate excellence and innovation across health and social care in Yorkshire and the Humber. These high-profile awards recognise the many achievements across the region, and enable the sharing of ideas for the wider benefit of patients, service users and staff.

The 2009 awards were a huge success with a record number of entries; a number of our region’s winners went on to gain recognition at the national awards – an outstanding result for Yorkshire and the Humber. You can help make the 2010 awards even more successful by nominating now. To enter or for more information, please visit http://www.healthandsocialcareawards.org.uk.

The closing date for nominations is 18 June 2010.

The regional awards ceremony will be held in October. All regional winners will be automatically considered for the national awards, which, this year, will take place on the same night as the regional ceremony, via a live satellite link up with London and the nine other NHS regions across the country. The national awards are run in partnership with the NHS Institute for Innovation & Improvement and the Department of Health.
