Bankside Primary School: School Catering-Leeds City Council
Bankside Primary School is a three form entry primary school in North Leeds with 523 children and 52 FTE Nursery, serving a predominately Asian Community. Nursery children are offered flexible provision and as a result of this a few nursery children have school lunch for half the week.
The school provides a free Breakfast club giving a simple breakfast of cereal and toast. Providing more formal catering provision for the breakfast club is an option which the school may wish to explore in the future with the catering provider, in addition to this school would like to provide a daily healthy tuck shop at morning break time.
Bankside Primary School is keen to provide a bespoke school lunch experience for their children which make school lunchtimes an exciting and special part of a child's school day. Attracting more children to take school lunches and increase the uptake of school meals is important.
The school is seeking a Catering Provider who must be able to offer a high profile, professional, quality assured and valued catering service which reflects cultural diversity, medical dietary needs and offers opportunities to explore new culinary experiences.
The school is currently being rebuilt and when completed will be the most environmentally friendly school in Leeds with new, large kitchen facilities. Please see our web site for more details about the building project: www.banksideprimary.co.uk
