Leeds City Council Buddying Support/Parent Consultation Service
Leeds City Council is seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced providers who are interested in providing a buddying support and parent consultation service.
The services required are a Buddy support service and a parent consultation scheme. Buddies will be adoptive parents who work with designated adopters for an initial period of 12 weeks. Parent consultants will provide an elevated level of support to families going through difficult times.
The service must fall within the legislative and policy framework of the Adoption and Children Act 2002, Adoption Support Regulations and the Adoption National Minimum Standards.
The service provider must be registered as an adoption service agency with Ofsted.
Ideally, the provider will have knowledge and experience of the issues associated with the provision of this type of service and in dealing with all those people affected by adoption. The staff team will comprise sufficiently skilled and trained people to deliver this service within the standards set by legislation, Council standards and regulatory bodies.
We are looking for organizations who are interested in working with Leeds City Council to develop this service.
