Catalyst Council - Market Sounding -Wakefield Metropolitan District Council
Thursday, May 19th, 2011 | Posted in : Community Services, |
Wakefield Council is reviewing the future shape of the Council and how its services are delivered. To inform this process the Council is undertaking a market sounding exercise to seek views from the market regarding:
- Which services could be better delivered through a different model
- Where there may be scope for savings
- The level of market interest and views on packaging services.
This is not a procurement exercise but the outcomes of the market sounding may result in a procurement process at a later date. Participation in this market sounding will not affect or preclude any organisation from participating in any future procurement exercise.
To assist with responses via the questionnaire, an open day for businesses and commercial organisations will be held on 17 June. Open days for the third sector and community groups will be held on 25 May, 1 and 8 June. Attendance at the open days is not essential, but it will enable you to hear more about the Council's ambition, what we're looking for through the market sounding process, and allow an opportunity for questions. If you do not wish to attend, the Council would still welcome your input via the questionnaire on the website.
