Provision of Children's Specialist Residential Services

Bradford Metropolitan District Council has a range of in-house residential provision for Looked After Children and a number of successful long term contracts with external partners that are now coming to an end. There continue to be a number of young people who cannot be placed within our own provision. We are, therefore, seeking to maintain our capacity and choice through entering into contractual obligations with external providers by way of a framework agreement of Block Cost and Volume Contracts. We aim to contract with 3 - 8 providers who are registered with OFSTED to take children in accordance with the Care Standards Act 2000 for the purchase of residential care who have for example: Social Care needs, Special Educational Needs (SEN), specific health care needs, behavioural problems, mental health problems.
