East Riding of Yorkshire Community Support Fund East Riding of Yorkshire Council

The East Riding Community Support Fund is a jointly funded initiative between East Riding of Yorkshire Council and Age UK. The grant assists groups that are providing services or activities for older members of the community or where the majority of the group members are over 50 years of age. The purpose of the grant is to encourage social support and independence.

Who can apply?

Voluntary, community or self help groups that are managing or developing services, activities or social clubs for older people.

How much can I apply for?

Up to £500. Groups awarded a grant cannot reapply to the East Riding Community Support Fund for further funding for a similar project within the same year. If the proposal differs sufficiently from the original it may be awarded funding.

What can the grant be used for?

Examples include:

  • Speaker/tutor costs
  • Kitchen equipment and utensils
  • Games and leisure equipment for activities
  • Other equipment to broaden group activities

The fund will not award grants for:

  • Individuals
  • One-off trips or activities
  • One-off outings or social events
