Thursday, September 30th, 2010 | Posted in : Community Services, |

Bradford Council received a contract from Yorkshire Forward in February 2009 to deliver the Enterprising Bradford programme of activity that is part funded by European Regional Development Funds (ERDF).

The ERDF is matched by Bradford Council funds including existing LEGI contracts and some Working Neighbourhood Funds (WNF). Match funding for activity in Calderdale is provided by Calderdale Council.

The purpose of the programme is to deliver activities concentrated on the Bradford Super Output Areas (SOAs) that fall within the 10% most deprived nationally. The programme builds on the existing Local Enterprise Growth Initiative (LEGI) programme of activities in Bradford with emphasis on assistance to organisations aiming to become social enterprises or community businesses and moving towards being self-sustaining. Enterprising Bradford also includes a small amount of activity in Calderdale.

The programme is delivered by teams within Bradford Council, partner organisations and delivery organisations contracted after an open and competitive tendering process.
The contract start date is Monday 3 January 2011 and the contract duration is 12 months.

The deadline is 12.30pm on Wednesday 13 October.

Organisations wishing to bid for this contract should log on to the SCMS Alito (supplier contract management system) website at https://scms.alito.co.uk/ for further details.
