Framework Agreement for Responsive Repairs and Maintenance Work-East Riding of Yorkshire Council

The awarding authority wishes to invite suitably qualified and experienced contractors to tender for a Framework Agreement for Responsive Repairs and Maintenance work on council premises. The Council proposes to establish framework arrangements with up to a maximum of 3 contractors for minor jobbing works, principally for the responsive repair and maintenance of council premises including schools, libraries, leisure centres corporate accommodation and council housing, throughout the East Riding of Yorkshire. The requirement is for the provision of a multi-disciplinary service to carry out general building works with mechanical and electrical works, generally arising due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g. accidents, breakdown and vandalism) and to carry out urgent repairs. Successful tenderers will be required to provide the services during and outside of normal working hours. The estimated total value of works, which currently may potentially be awarded under these arrangements, is approximately £1.3m p.a. for all Areas, made up of approximately 1600 individual work orders per Area. Appointment of contractors to the Framework will be based on both the quality and price of a tender submission. Applicants must also satisfy minimum standards as set out in the tender documentation including a minimum turnover requirement of £1.3m. per. annum.
