One Stop Shop and Family Forum Project

Holme Valley South Childrens Centre is one of four Phase 3 Childrens Centre in Kirklees. Services are delivered using an outreach model, with staff based in offices in Holmfirth.

The Centre requires the development and implementation of a weekly One Stop Shop and a robust Family Forum

It is anticipated this project will run until March 2011 and the expected outputs at the conclusion of this project are:
1. A 12 month timetable of weekly one stop shop events which identifies:
a. Confirmed booking of a venue for each week
b. Named partners with confirmed attendance on specific dates
c. Implemented publicity plan, with publicity materials ready for distribution
2. An active and sustainable Family Forum with:
a. A calendar of meetings and activities for a 12 month period, including venue and crèche organisation with confirmed bookings.
b. Identified parents/carers from the Children’s Centre notional catchment area, whom understand the role the Parents Forum provides within the governance of the Childrens Centre.
