Provision of an e market place for adult social care - Doncaster Metropolitan Borough Council

Tenders are invited from providers who would like to work with Doncaster Borough Council’s Adult Services team, to deliver an eMarket place for Local Authorities Adult Social Care departments in Yorkshire and Humber.

Doncaster Borough Council (DMBC) is leading a collaborative initiative to secure a provider that will deliver a hosted eMarket place for each participating local authority.

This project is funded and supported by the Yorkshire and Humber (Y&H) Joint Improvement Partnership (JIP) and the Y&H Regional Improvement and Efficiency Partnership (RIEP).

The eMarket place provider will supply the specified functionality for each participating local authority (LA). In summary this is:

An electronic information hub for social care customers
An online location to purchase social care
An electronic messaging capability between service providers and customers
Electronic financial transactions performed directly between customer and service provider
Capability of significant integration with adult social care systems in each participating LA

The list of LAs participating is as follows:

Sheffield
Rotherham
Barnsley
Doncaster
East Riding
Hull
N Lincs
Wakefield
Calderdale
Kirklees
Bradford
N Yorks
Leeds
York
Manchester City
Cheshire West & Chester LA

And other participating public bodies.

The contract with DMBC will run for a maximum of 18 months to enable the e Market place specification to be delivered in each participating LA. Following this initial implementation activity ongoing management and maintenance contracts will be established with individual Local Authorities.
