Bradford Metropolitan District Council -Provision of Community Meals

The Council provides nutritionally balanced meals to older people and people with a disability through its Community Meals Service. This service comprises a Hot Meals Service at a individual Service User’s home or at a Luncheon Club and deliveries of frozen meals for storage and reheating by Service Users at home.

The Contract will be administered on behalf of the Council’s Adult Services department, by a central contact point. The Hot Meals Service is available to those individuals who have been assessed as being eligible because they are unable to prepare a hot meal for themselves or regenerate a frozen meal.

The Frozen Meals Service is available to those individuals who feel that they would benefit from the availability and convenience of such a service and who are able to regenerate a frozen meal themselves.
