Kirklees Council
SNRP Leamington Terrace
Description
The Council wish to appoint an organisation to deliver a Small Neighbourhood Regeneration Programme (SNRP) within South Dewsbury. The SNRP will include consultation, survey work, liaison with property owners, full project management and delivery of the works.
The scheme will complement other regeneration activity undertaken by Dewsbury Neighbourhoods in the Savile Town area of South Dewsbury. Work will commence in April 2010 on improving the green space directly opposite Leamington Terrace and work will have already begun on regenerating Savile Town Wharf and surrounding waterways.
The scheme will focus on a small geographic location of 20 properties across two terraces.
The works undertaken are expected to have a significant impact on both the physical appearance of the participating properties and the surrounding environment. There should also be a positive outcome in terms of the perception of the area.
The SNRP should generate a positive feel around the areas with residents beginning to understand that investment within the properties can have an impact both on their home and the locality generally.
The Tender documents and a map of the area are available for download on SCMS, and must be submitted by 12:00 noon on Monday 25th January 2010.
