Wakefield District Young Carers, Schools and Education Support Worker Service - Wakefield DC

Wakefield Metropolitan District Council's Family Services Directorate wishes to invite tenders for the provision of the following service for children and young people from suitably qualified and experienced organisations. Wakefield District Young Carers and Schools and Education Support Worker Service is for young people under the age of 19 years, whose life is affected by providing care directly or indirectly to a member of their family. The current contract expires on 31st March 2010. The contract period for this service is 3 years from 1st April 2010 to 31st March 2013. The Current Service Provider has indicated that Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations 2006 (TUPE) will apply to the service. The Council does not provide warranty, with regard to this statement. Prospective applicants are advised to seek their own independent and professional advice on TUPE. The return date for the tender is no later than noon on 6th November 2009. Contract start date Thu 01 April 2010. Deadline Fri 06 November 2009 at 12:00.
