Young People Leaving Care Service (Askern Court and Satellites)

Doncaster Councils Supporting People Partnership and Childrens and Young Peoples Services are inviting tenders from suitability experienced organisations or partnerships, to provide housing related and general support for an existing Accommodation Based Young People Leaving Care Service.

The project provides Supported Housing, offering a range of services that meet the needs of the Clients. It enables Clients to develop the skills to live independently and facilitate a smooth transition for young people leaving the care system, enabling them to go on to manage their own tenancy.

The project is split over a main site, consisting of 5 self contained flats, and 6 dispersed satellite properties located around the urban centre. Support is delivered during office hours with waking cover provided at the main site and on call facility for satellite provision during evenings and weekends. It is also expected that the provider will facilitate housing management of the properties, and associated landlord agreements.

The maximum budget for this contract is set at approximately £130,000 per annum.

The contract will be for a period of three years which may be extended up to a further two twelve month periods subject to performance and continued funding.

Applicants should be aware that Transfer of Undertaking (Protection of Employment Regulations (TUPE) may apply to this contract.
